Naija Is Winning!

120 young people in Lokoja graduate as trained electricians, with starter packs to launch their own businesses! ⚡🇳🇬

New skills, new hustle! The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has trained 120 young people in Lokoja, Kogi State, in modern electrical installation and maintenance. At the closing ceremony of its skills acquisition and empowerment programme in Lokoja, every trainee received a starter pack plus money to start their own business. NASENI says the skills put the new electricians right in the construction sector, where homes, offices and factories keep needing their services, and the trainees were urged to put their tools to work straight away. From classroom to customer, 120 new businesses are ready to light up Lokoja 💡🇳🇬
